George Henderson DDS

George Henderson DDSGeorge Henderson, D.D.S. (Retired)

George O. Henderson, D.D.S. is the founding dentist of The Dentists’ Office. He came to Fallon in 1985 with the U.S. Navy. Dr. Henderson attended Central Methodist College and the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry. After several stations as a navy dentist he came to Fallon where he now lives with his wife Cheryl and their five children.

Dr. Henderson’s philosophy of dental care is to educate the patients, prevent dental decay and use minimally invasive technology to provide the highest quality of care. Dr. Henderson performs family, general, laser and cosmetic dentistry as well as implant dentistry. He is a Fellow Pierre Fauchard  Academy, a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Nevada Dental Association, the Academy of Laser Dentists, and the Sierra Nevada Study Club.  He is on the Northern Nevada Dental Association Peer Review Committee. Dr. Henderson also enjoys cooking pizza, fishing and traveling.

 

James P. Smerdon DMD

James P. Smerdon DMDJames P. Smerdon, D.M.D.

James P. Smerdon, D.M.D., grew up in Truckee, California and received his degrees from the University of Nevada and the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry where he graduated in 2003.  Dr. Smerdon stays current with new technology and evolving dental care through continuing education courses, including a mini residency for implant dentistry and courses in sleep apnea. Dr. Smerdon believes that through patient education and prevention of dental decay his patients have confident, beautiful smiles.

Dr. Smerdon is active member of the American Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society, Sierra Nevada Study Club, and serves as a Peer Review Mediator for the Northern Nevada Dental Society. Dr. Smerdon is married and the father of two children. He enjoys fishing, skiing, remodeling projects, cooking and bike riding with his family and friends.
 

 

Brandon R. Lloyd DDS

Brandon R. Lloyd DDSBrandon R. Lloyd, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Brandon R. Lloyd earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah State. After graduation he moved to the Midwest where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at The Ohio State University. He then worked for several years in oral surgery and general dentistry before specializing in orthodontics. His residency training and Master’s thesis were completed at the highly regarded orthodontic program at Ohio State. He has successfully passed both written and clinical components of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) examination which makes him one of the few board-certified orthodontists in Northern Nevada. He has also conducted and published research in the fields of oral cancer and craniofacial stem cells. He has presented findings on these subjects to national and international audiences.


 

 

Derek L. Johnson DMD

Derek L. Johnson, Dr. Derek Johnson was born and raised in Fallon. He graduated from Churchill County High School in 2001 as valedictorian of his class. After serving a 2 year mission for his church he graduated with honors from the University of Nevada in 2007 with a degree in Biology. Dr. Johnson received his dental degree from UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine in 2011.

Dr. Johnson loves being a dentist and learning about the art and science of dentistry. He believes that through patient education and attention to detail, his patients can expect a healthy beautiful smile. Dr. Johnson is excited to join The Dentists’ Office team, and to raise his family where he grew up. Dr. Johnson is married to Tristin, also a native of Fallon, and they are the proud parents of two children.

 

 

Blaine A. Austin DDS

Blaine A. Austin, Dr. Blaine D. Austin received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Utah in 1974. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 1982. In 1985 Dr. Austin completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency from the University of Connecticut Medical School. Dr. Austin’s background in dental surgery has given him a perspective not just on teeth but on overall oral and dental health, including gums, soft tissue, disorders of the mouth (like gingivitis), etc. Dr. Blaine Austin has long been reputed as one of the best oral surgeons in Ogden, UT and the premier TMJ surgeon in the Country. His concern for the creation of products that will combat these and other oral issues is astounding.

Dr. Austin manages a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth, and Facial Regions. He practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Corrective Jaw Surgery to Wisdom Tooth Removal.  Dr. Austin also diagnoses and treats Oral Pathology, Facial Trauma, TMJ Disorders, and performs a full range of Dental Implant procedures. Dr. Austin is married and the father of 5 children and spends his time outside the office traveling and enjoying his family.

 

Rodney A. Gray DDS

Rodney A. Gray DDSRodney A. Gray, D.D.S., M.S.

Rodney A. Gray, D.D.S., M.S., has been practicing endodontics for 39 years, 33 of them in the Reno area. Dr. Gray received his dental and endodontic degrees from the University of Iowa. Dr. Gray is excited to join the team at The Dentists’ Office in Fallon an offer specialty care in endodontics, including root canal therapy, re-treatment of existing failing root canals, and endodontic surgery. Dr. Gray is married and the father of three. He enjoys traveling, golfing, as well as singing in his church chorus.
